Cold Chain Indicator (CCI)
The Cold Chain Indicator (CCI) monitors the supply chain and provides a “product diploma” which validates temperature specifications have been maintained throughout the supply chain. A color change indicates the temperature has been compromised.
Ensuring the proper temperature not only impacts taste and quality, but also serves to ensure the product’s date code is accurate and has not been compromised due to an elevated temperature. The date code is currently the only tool the retailer and consumer have to determine freshness.
We are able to integrate this technology into the current case label, using similar printing techniques, providing an affordable, easy-to-implement solution.

The CCI meets requirements for the FDA IMPORT ALERT #16-125 for refrigerated vacuum packaged or modified atmosphere packaged raw fish and fishery products due to the potential for Clostridium Botulinum Toxin production.
